Hello all and welcome to our first Creator Blog! This first blog is dedicated to the first Stage Pack coming to Smash Bros Ultra. While we are not revealing any pictures, since we are still working on it, we wanna talk about its content and what you can expect for the future of Smash Bros Ultra.
"What is Smash Bros Ultra?"
Smash Bros Ultra is one of our refined experiences in Rec Room, Harrison was experiencing with some neat backpack mechanics that allowed us to create working abilities straight out of Super Smash Brothers. Using this, we allowed players to Punch, Shield, Double Jump and use unique Final Smashes to make the games more interesting. This game is also based on items, which can make or break a game.
Enough about the introduction, it's time to talk about Stage Pack #1...
Introducing Onett
Onett is the first 2D Stage in this Stage Pack, from EarthBound, Onett is Ness' hometown from the Eaglelands. We're working on bringing this Stage to Rec Room, as well as a familiar Final Smash called PK Starstorm. We'll have more details about this Stage soon. Stay tuned.
Introducing Final Destination
Our second Stage in this pack is a 3D Stage, it's not any Final Destinations from previous Smash Bros games, instead, we're making our own! Similar to Atrium, this one will be 3D and will have compact areas, as well as a whimsical, changing background. The Final Smash is going to be a Rec Room-styled one with full of surprises. Once again, we'll have more details to share about this Stage soon. Stay tuned.
