2020 Retrospective

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

Hello everyone, 2020 is almost over (thank gosh) and over the year, Wired Creations put out some content for the Community to enjoy. Let's looks back at what we did this year, shall we?

Murder at Tudor Mansion Updates

Tudor Mansion was a priority for updates this year and we started off 2020 with a bang, on January 3rd, the Fresh New Start Edition released, bringing a new Mansion and a lot of new balance changes. This brought the Progression System, the Camo System and later released, the Shop System to the game. Something that was never seen in Rec Room before then. We continued to update with Events and more throughout the year. While 2020 is ending, we'll try our best to support Events in the next year, although main updates are unlikely to happen, as we will try to port everything to Circuits V2 eventually next year.

Core Wars

While it's lost and forgotten by many, Core Wars was our Wonderland Contest entry. Taking the Bed Wars gamemode and adding our Wired Creations touch on it, we gave Core Wars to the Community. While being a fun team-based PVP game, it relies on Circuits V1, which can be unstable. We may revisit this with Circuits V2 in the future.

Split the Rec Room

Our Game Jam entry, Split the Rec Room, is a party game that is based off Split the Room from Jackbox Party Pack 5. It's also our first game created using Circuits V2!

Super Smash Bros

Smash Bros "released" in April 2020, I say released, but it's actually unfinished. We reached the limit with Circuits V1 to release it, but we have plans with Circuits V2. That is why, starting tonight, Super Smash Bros will be renamed to Super Smash Bros BETA once again, as we build and prepare for a real Smash Bros game in VR. It is planned to release mid-2021. In the meantime, we hope you have fun fighting your friends in the Beta!

We hope you all have a great 2021, here's to a new year of Wired Creations content! And believe me, we have some great things in store for this year... Who knows, some may be revealed at Rec Con 2021.
